Fulham boss Martin Jol says he was told he would be kicking off his Cottagers career in the Falkland Islands!
Jol kicks off his reign with a home game against NSI Runavik in the first qualifying round of the Europa League next Thursday.
He said with a smile: "My friend told me they were from the Falklands but in fact they are even smaller than that. They're from the Faroes.
"It's not ideal for us to be starting our season so early.
"Yet we will start to prepare next week and treat the game like a friendly but with a serious touch."
