Jol: I can turn Real Madrid's Van der Vaart into Keegan

Hamburg coach Martin Jol continues to court Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart. Jol wants the Dutchman as a replacement for Brazilian flop Thiago Neves and is exploring the possibility of bringing the midfielder back to the Bundesliga in June.

He said: "We know how he feels, because he likes to play. He should not be happy and we hope its a sign to see what can happen. One thing is clear: if he decides to return to Germany, there's no other club better for him than Hamburg.

"Here he was a star. In Real, he is one of many. If he stayed here, he could have become a legend of the club, like Uwe Seeler and Kevin Keegan."
