Jol hoping Fulham can bounce back after tricky break

Fulham manager Martin Jol has his fingers crossed ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion.

The Cottagers kicked off their season with a 5-0 home win over Norwich City but were beaten in their ensuing three matches (including a Capital One Cup loss to Sheffield Wednesday) prior to the international break.

Jol lost a huge portion of his squad to national team duties for the two weeks of FIFA action and admits it has been difficult to prepare for the visit of the Baggies who sit third on the table after three matches.

"It was almost ridiculous after the West Ham game that everybody left for the international period," said Jol.

"We could not do a lot with them, but we have done something today and hopefully it was enough to play in a different style again with different players.

"We threw everything away in the first couple of minutes against West Ham (3-0 loss on September 1), when we could not stay with the runner from the knockdown, we should have done better.

"Now we must look forward to the next game, when West Brom will play a different style, and we have talked about that with the players today.

"We have done something about it in our training session, so hopefully we will get a better result."
