De Telegraaf says former Tottenham boss Martin Jol and Russia coach Guus Hiddink are both in the frame for the Toon post.

Jol turned down the job at Birmingham City, though is keen to continue in England. He has interest from PSV and Feyenoord, but wants a big Premiership job.
