Martin Jol took a sarcastic swipe at Tottenham's board after defeat at Manchester United yesterday.

Reacting to the news that chairman Daniel Levy and director of football Damien Comolli were also present at last week's meeting with Sevilla coach Juande Ramos, Jol said: "Nothing would surprise me, because I know football.

"It's always handy to have everybody there (at the meeting) so they can see how the whole club works.

"Hopefully, all the people who have seen me over the past three years know everything they can about me and can make a judgment. Everybody is entitled to their opinions and their apology. Let me get on with the job and we will be fine."
