Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic was thrilled with their stunning 5-0 win at Fulham.
Jokanovic, the Hornets' fourth head coach this season, was beginning to feel the heat after four straight defeats saw them drop from first place to seventh.
But Troy Deeney's hat-trick and two goals from Almen Abdi lifted Watford back into the play-off spots and to within three points of leaders Derby.
"We can be happy," said Jokanovic. "After a bad November we have started December better. It was very close to a perfect performance after some bad results.
"We played a fantastic game. I must to be happy, I expect my players and supporters go home happy.
"In the last few games we did not have control and offered up to many presents. Today we were in control. But in front of us is a big space to improve."
