Glen Johnson's contract negotiations with Liverpool have stalled as the defender seeks a longer deal.

The 29-year old right-back has a year to run on his current Anfield deal but has only been offered a 12-month extension by the Reds according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed that Johnson wants the security of a longer contract with the Merseyside club but the Premier League runners-up are not yet ready to tie him down to a multi-year deal.
