Johnson under pressure to hand West Ham new stadium

Boris Johnson is under pressure to approve West Ham United's move to the London Olympic Stadium.

The Sunday Express says the London Mayor is believed to favour the Hammers ahead of bids from Leyton Orient and others.

The Hammers see a move to the stadium as a springboard towards European football.

"Us being there would enable athletics to continue there," said a West Ham spokesman.
