Roger Johnson says Birmingham City's Premiership know-how is key to why they've done better than fellow promotion club Wolves so far this season.
Johnson only moved to St Andrews in the summer.
"You need players like Stephen Carr in your side because if you look at Wolves, they've got a very young side, other than Craddock," Johnson told the Birmingham Mail.
"We've got a couple of older heads in there with Carry, Bows, Fergie so it's all great experience and that has been a big help for us this season.
"Carr has helped to tighten up the backline.
"We've got a good bunch of lads, a good mix of older and younger boys and we all get on well.
"I've been at a couple of clubs where the banter is good and the boys have all got on. It's much the same here at Blues."
