Adam Johnson has no more doubts about his place in Manchester City's plans.
Johnson's confidence is high enough to believe he can compete with anyone for a starting place.
"I know I can't play every game but as long as I play my fair share, I will be happy," he told the Mail on Sunday. "I can't worry about other players coming in or where they will play. I don't know how Samir Nasri, if he signs, might fit in for example, he might be used in central midfield for all we know.
"People thought I'd be a bit-part player when I signed but I said to myself I'll show people how good I am and get straight in the team."
