Sunderland winger Adam Johnson admits the players shouldn't be happy Vito Mannone has won the club's Player of the Year.
Johnson says a goalkeeper winning the award reflects poorly on the rest of the team.
Johnson told the Evening Chronicle: "I think Vito has definitely been worthy of that.
"But in all fairness, it shows how much we've struggled over the last two years that keepers have won Player of the Season.
"From an attacking point of view, it's the last thing I want to see - and probably that Vito wants to see, too.
"He'd probably have been happier having an easy season!"
