Johnson keen to repay Wolves boss with quality performances
Wolves captain Roger Johnson admits he has not been at his best for his new club this season.
The former Birmingham City man landed at the Molineux in the summer and confesses that it has been a slow start to life in a gold and black shirt.
He does, however, feel that things are starting to change slowly both for he and the Wolves team which sits 13th on the table following Sunday's 3-1 home win over Wigan Athletic.
"I was disappointed and certainly had a word with myself but, for the Manchester City and Wigan games, I was back to my normal self," he told Express & Star.
"I've not been performing how I've wanted to. The manager brought me here and I wanted to repay him with good performances. I started well but then lost a bit of form.
"As individuals and as a team we weren't playing too well. So it was nice to get the three points against Wigan, who are down there with us."
