Johnson hoping Wolves can kick on after Tottenham draw

Wolves captain Roger Johnson is looking to push on after recording a hard-earned point away at Tottenham on the weekend.

The Molineux outfit produced a solid defensive effort to keep out a rampant Spurs side to eventually hold the North Londoners to a 1-1 draw and Johnson is hoping the side can come up with more of the same as the season progresses.

"We defended well on Saturday and that's what we need to do," said Johnson.

"We need to start well like we did at Spurs, and do that in every game, and either keep a clean sheet, or go a goal up, like we did on Saturday.

"We defended well but we just need to create a little more. But that sort of performance gives us a lot of encouragement.

"We are where we are because we've conceded too many goals and that hurts the boys at the back and the keeper.

"But with performances like Saturday, we're hoping we can carry on playing like that."
