Johnson delighted to get off mark at Fulham

Andy Johnson was delighted to get his first goals for Fulham in their victory over Wigan Athletic.

He told fulhamfc.com: "It takes a bit of time to settle in at a new club but I want to just say thank you to the fans and the boys for being patient.

"When I arrived I was injured and it's taken me four or five games to get my sharpness back. It was nice to get on the score sheet on Wednesday.

"I've been on 99 goals for quite some time now. I always go out there thinking that I'm going to score goals and I fancied my chances on Wednesday.

"I always score in training and I'll always believe I'll score goals because I've been doing it for the last six or seven years now. The main thing was to get three points but I'm pleased to be off the mark."
