Sunderland winger Adam Johnson isn't surprised seeing fans take to manager Paolo di Canio.
Di Canio has become an instant club legend after guiding the Black Cats to a 3-0 win at Newcastle - their first at St James' Park in 13 years.
And Johnson never had any doubt the ex-Swindon manager would get the Sunderland faithful on his side.
The England winger, 25, said: "I don't think there was a better way for the manager to win over the fans. But they would probably have loved him anyway.
"Anyone with that passion and love of the game is hard not to like."
