Birmingham City defender Roger Johnson insists Joe Hart is the best goalkeeper available to England.

Hart is on-loan at Brum from Manchester City and is open to extending his stay into next season.

Johnson said: "A keeper is massive and he's a decent keeper. He'll probably be the gaffer's No.1 signing to try and get Joe for next season.

"All the lads would love him to stay and I've spoke to him and I think he'd like to stay. Even if he's got a better offer to go on loan, I think he's happy here.

"He's playing, he's doing well, he's got good centre-halves in front of him.

"Hopefully they can get that tied up."
