Adam Johansson has confirmed he has signed a contract with IFK Goteborg following his return to Sweden.
The 30-year old defender was recently released by MLS club Seattle Sounders but is delighted to be back at his former club.
"Given that Seattle said up my contract so late into that all the windows were closed, it feels pretty damn good to IFK receive me with open arms," read a translated excerpt from the club's official website.
But Johansson was quick to point out that MLS had reached a standard he did not first believe prior to joining Seattle.
"The league is much better than what people generally think of, tough and stimulating games every week," he added.
