Joe Jordan is convinced Middlesbrough can stay up.
Having joined Boro to assist head coach Steve Agnew just last week, the experienced Jordan had little time to settle before finding himself immediately in the frame for defeat to Manchester United.
But the former striker says he's delighted to be back involved in the game with top flight survival at the top of his agenda.
“That's the world of football for you – you can never tell," Jordan told Boro's website when asked if he was surprised to have received the call from Agnew.
“There are so many ups and downs and this is one of the good ups for me. It's great to be involved again, I'm looking forward to the remaining games.
“It's a very difficult league to be in.
“You've got to prove that you're good enough to stay there but I'm certainly going to enjoy my time here and hopefully we can get the points necessary to be in the Premier League next season."
