Rangers boss Mark Warburton hopes to close a deal for Leicester City attacker Joe Dodoo over the weekend.

The Daily Mail says the 21-year-old is set to snub a new deal at English Premier League champions Leicester City to pen a four-year deal at the Ibrox club.

A cross border move, Rangers are likely to have to pay £250,000 in training compensation for an entertainer Warburton compared in physique to Nathan Oduwa, who was on loan at Ibrox from Tottenham last season.

Warburton said, "We have to get the paperwork completed but I'd think that by early next week both clubs will have sorted it. And it will be a permanent move.

"We like Joe. He can play out wide or in the centre but we see him as playing more central."
