Joe Cole insists the Liverpool "revolution" is underway.

Cole is convinced the dominant nature of the performance against Stoke City bodes well for the season ahead.

"During the time I was out I saw the team developing and I feel like I've seen a lot of improvement," said Cole to the Liverpool Echo.

"Revolutions don't happen in days and weeks, and I think the fans here understand there.

"They are very educated - they know what we're trying to do and how we're trying to implement a style of play."
