Joaquin has paid tribute to Valencia coach Unai Emery with the club now high up on the table.
The winger never saw eye-to-eye with Ronald Koeman last season and said: "The team is practically the same, what has changed is someone has come in to bring order and so everyone knows what to do.
"The coach knows what he has and is not interested in other things. Fortunately, this year we have a coach."
Asked about the departures of senior players Marco Caneira and Santiago Canizares, Joaquin added: "Caneira had problems with some players and Canizares was not part of the team. But in general there were many problems and we shouldn't single out anyone for blame."
