Everton U21 coach Alan Stubbs gave Jindrich Stanek a debut in their win over Arsenal yesterday.

Czech Republic keeper Stanek, a January arrival from Sparta Prague, is just 17.

Stubbs told evertonfc.com: "I thought Jindrich did well and looked comfortable dealing with what he had to deal with. His kicking was good and, though there were one or two little bits we'll pick up on, it's a work in progress and he's only been at the Club a matter of weeks.

"He was thrown into it a bit tonight and I thought he responded really well."
