Jimmy Bullard backing Man Utd crock Shaw to fight back

Former Premier League star Jimmy Bullard says Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw will fight back from his double leg fracture.

The left-back is expected to be out for the rest of the season.

Bullard, who was speaking on behalf of Ladbrokes Rugby's 'Who's Got The Balls' campaign insists Shaw will emerge a stronger character.

"He'll be fine, it's different with bone rather than ligament injuries," Bullard told the Daily Express.

"They won't rush him back United as they will want to restore his confidence.

"The tackling part of training will come right at the end. He needs to get in the right frame, but he knows he will come back.

"My advice would be don't rush it; take your time and come back properly and do your rehab. He will come back fitter than ever.

"You need to use the negative comments to your strength. When I was injured, I used the negative comments in a positive way and I was a stronger person after that."
