Luis Jimenez is delighted after Inter Milan bought half his contract last week from Ternana.

"I thank Inter for their faith in me," said the former Lazio creative midfielder. "In this second season here I must try to convince the club to buy up the other half of my contract, too.

"I think I did well when called upon, even if there weren't that many opportunities for me."

With Roberto Mancini gone, Jimenez hopes to work his magic on new boss Jose Mourinho.

"I realise it will be difficult this year, as there are many strikers in the squad, so unless the Coach wants to try me out as a midfielder it'll be tough to find a place."
