Former Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell has ruled himself out of the running for the current manager's position at Birmingham City.

Jewell claims that the amount of uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the club is the key reason for him ruling out a move to the Midlands.

"Someone called me last week and said would I be interested in the Birmingham job?" he told Sky Sports News.

"It's a bit unstable for me in that who owns the club, so I'm not in the running for the Birmingham job, no."
