Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell has made an approach for Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard who scored five goals in 16 games during a loan spell at Portman Road last season. The 32-year-old could have his deal with the Tigers terminated after being suspended for an alleged breach of discipline.
Jewell told BBC Radio Suffolk: "He says he's got a couple of Premier League teams that are showing interest.
"But I told him I am very keen and very interested.
"He said it was a shock to the system, I don't know what's happened," said the Town boss.
"But I said, 'make sure you keep us informed', if he goes to a Premier League team we won't be able to compete.
"But we'd like to bring him here."
