Paul Jewell's target for the remainder of the season is to try to ensure Derby do not have the indignity of recording the lowest-ever points total in Premier League history.
Following the 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham, the rock-bottom Rams have won just one game all season - 1-0 against Newcastle at Pride Park on September 17.
The unwanted record is held by Sunderland who managed just 15 points during the 2005/06 campaign. Derby currently have nine points with 12 matches remaining.
Jewell said: "We know our season is over in terms of staying in the Premier League, but we don't want that lowest points total and beating Sunderland's 15 points is something to aim for.
"So our target remains finishing the season on as big a high as we can and hopefully beating Sunderland's points tally."
