Manchester United have seen new contract talks with Jesse Lingard stall.
Lingard is in a stand-off with Manchester United – despite being offered a new contract paying £60,000-a-week, says the Sunday Mirror.
The new five-year deal is worth double the 23-year-old's current £30,000 weekly wage.
But it is believed Lingard is in no hurry to sign, although there is also no suggestion he wants to leave Old Trafford.
The winger and his advisers are said to be well aware that the average wage for the United squad is a lot higher than the money he is being offered.
And with England star Harry Kane – the same age as Lingard – signing a new £100,000-a-week deal at Spurs, they are holding out for more.
