Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard continues to impress in preseason.
Lingard struck in United reserves' 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers last night.
Rovers took an early lead when Andy Robinson's shot deceived Tomasz Kuszczak and hit an upright and Mark McChrystal had the simple task of converting the rebound. Kuszczak was by far the busier of the two keepers and, after making a string of saves, he produced an outstanding double-stop to deny skipper John Welsh and Adam McGurk.
It enabled United to level matters on 34 minutes when a four-man move involving Darron Gibson, Danny Drinkwater and John Cofie ended with Lingard side-footing in via a post from the edge of the box.
