Stoke City signing Cameron Jerome has no problem fighting for his place at the Potters.
He made a case for a second start against Sunderland on Sunday by scoring the Potters' goal in the 1-1 draw.
"I knew the challenge that I was facing when I came here, because Peter signed on the same night," he said. "And that was one of the attractions.
"There is competition for every place in the team and that sort of competition brings the best out in the players. It's certainly a challenge I am relishing.
"The important thing is that you have to take your chance when it comes along, which is why it was nice to score on my debut.''
