Jerome: Birmingham players want future with McLeish

Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome says the players are thriving under the management of Alex McLeish.

The striker said the view from the dressing room was that he was the right man to take the club forward in the new Carson Yeung regime.

"It's good for everybody at the moment, how we're doing, especially the manager," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"The new owners have come in and there has been speculation about his future.

"But the boys are behind him 110 per cent. We show the faith in him that he shows in us. At half-time at Wigan he supported us, he believed in us and said go out there and lift the tempo and we would get something out of the game. That was what we did.

"He's a good manager and we all respond to him and what he wants us to do."
