John Jensen is keen to put down roots at Blackburn Rovers.
The former Danish international was appointed as Steve Kean's assistant back in January on a contract until the end of the season - and he is now bidding to make his Rovers spell more permanent.
Former Arsenal star Jensen told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I'd love to extend my contract, but how long a new contract will run and what it would otherwise contain, I cannot comment on.
"It is up to the board and the new owners to look through it and then come back with an offer of a new contract for me."
