Arsenal fullback Carl Jenkinson admits he uses club legend Lee Dixon as inspiration.

The boyhood Arsenal fan has been pleased with his progress since joining from Charlton Athletic in 2011, and says his target is to emulate former Gunner Dixon.

"If I could have half the career Lee Dixon had, I'll have done well," Jenkinson told Arsenal.com. "That side was a special side and Lee Dixon is the sort of player who I look up to.

"I watched a lot of him even though I was relatively young, and there's a lot I could learn from him."
