Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson managed to get through 45 minutes of an Arsenal reserves match unscathed on Tuesday.
The 20-year old full-back has been sidelined since early November because of a stress fracture in his back but was able to play a half as the Gunners second string hammered Norwich City 5-0 during the week.
"Carl was planned to play 45 minutes and also Benik Afobe, so everybody has come through okay," reserve team coach Neil Banfield told the club's official website.
Jenkinson will now be in contention for a spot in the bench for Arsenal's North London derby with Tottenham on Sunday.
