Jenkinson close to Arsenal return ahead of reserves match

Carl Jenkinson will soon be back in first team calculations at Arsenal if he manages to get through today’s reserves match.

The 20-year old full-back has been sidelined with a back problem since early November but is set to take part in the Gunners’ second team meeting with Norwich City.

With a solid showing midweek, the summer signing from Charlton Athletic could be in contention for the weekend’s North London derby with Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.
