Jermaine Jenas is happy for Aston Villa teammate Darren Bent over the way he has moved on from his problems at Tottenham.

Jenas was with Bent at Tottenham but is ineligible to play tonight under the terms of his year's loan.

The Villa midfielder said: "Darren has consistently scored goals wherever he has been. Does he get enough credit for it? Probably not.

"He turned his career around. At one point perhaps people looked at him as a bit of a hit-and-miss type but he is prolific now.

"He is now one of the top English strikers. No-one can question his goals-to-games ratio."
