Jenas: Spurs players have won back respect

Jermaine Jenas believes Tottenham won back some credit after their draw at Blackburn Rovers.

"We were all disappointed to lose in the manner we did against Newcastle, we know we are better than that," the England midfielder told Tottenham's website.

"We needed to have a look at ourselves, we worked hard all week in training and it was about putting it right. We knew it would be tough but we feel we've done that." And there was a word for the fans who travelled in great numbers all the way to Lancashire on a freezing afternoon.

"We can't applaud them enough," he stated. "We got stuffed last week and they could have stayed at home and watched it on television later but they always travel in numbers, they are loud and they drive us on."
