Jenas confident Tottenham players will stay grounded

Jermaine Jenas says Tottenham must not get carried away over their flying start under new gaffer Harry Redknapp.

He said: "There's still a lot of work to do to get out of the situation that we are in.

"The players are fully committed and prepared to work as hard as it takes to get ourselves up the table and out of trouble. It was an unfortunate situation we found ourselves in and no-one involved with the club wanted to be there.

"Everyone's attitude completely changes and it starts to get you down. You have to lift yourself up for every game. In the end you start trying to pick the bones out of the situation and maybe think about it all too much.

"Football is a very harsh business though and things change fast sometimes, which is what has happened with us. You hear a lot about Harry in football, about how great a manager he is to work under and we are just starting to experience that now.

"Hopefully he can do for us what he has done for a number of teams he's managed over the years. He's definitely brought a liveliness to the place already, just with his demeanour and the person that he is, and that's given everyone a lift."
