Jelavic positive about things to come at Everton

Everton's impressive 1-0 win over Manchester United at Goodison Park on Monday night has Nikica Jelavic in a very positive frame of mind.

The Toffees produced a very solid shift to beat last season's runners-up in their first fixture of the campaign and Jelavic is looking for more of the same after the Merseysiders peppered United's goal for long periods.

"We can aim high, not only because of this victory but because we have a really good team," he told Vecernji.

"We are like one big family and we also signed some great players this summer. You could all see at the United game that we are really strong this season.

"Manchester United are strong but we killed them. David de Gea saved them. We could have really destroyed them. We can be really optimistic."
