Nikica Jelavic is looking to make an impact in the Premier League for Everton following his FA Cup double on Saturday.
The Croatian striker scored twice as the Toffees beat QPR 4-0 in the third round at Goodison Park, notching his first goals since March, and he is now hoping to take that form into the league after featuring just nine times so far this season.
"It's been difficult," he told the club's official website.
"But Romelu (Lukau) is on fire - I'm delighted for him if I'm being honest.
"I'm training hard and every day I have been waiting for my chance. Now the manager saw that he can count on me as well, so we will see.
"We will see in the end but I hope he is going to give me more chances. I have played 90 minutes so I enjoyed every minute on the pitch.
"I was unlucky to not score a hat-trick but I'm happy with two as well."
