Jelavic denies forcing Rangers to sell him to Everton

Everton signing Nikica Jelavic denies forcing his move from Rangers.

Jelavic insists he never demanded a transfer.

In an outburst which angered the SPL champions, the striker insisted: "Let me clear something up. I still had two-and-a-half years left on my contract with Rangers and so, if the club said to me you are staying, I would have respected that decision.

"I never said I am desperate to leave or that I want to leave. It is strange to hear this. Two clubs made an agreement and that is it. What can I do without the clubs’ agreement?"
