Jeju's Ryu trains with Leverkusen as Kruse cops head injury

On-loan forward Ryu Seung-woo trained with Bayer Leverkusen for the first time over the weekend.

The South Korean, on loan from Jeju United, worked with the German club during their midseason training camp in Lagos, Portugal on Sunday as Sami Hyypia prepares his die Werkself squad for the second half of the Bundesliga season.

The first session of the day, however, saw Australian winger Robbie Kruse sustain a head injury in a collision with young midfielder Dominik Kohr.

Kruse was forced to miss the afternoon session after seeking medical treatment but should be fine to recommence training on Monday.

Leverkusen currently sit second on the Bundesliga table but find themselves seven points behind reigning champions Bayern Munich.
