He told tribalfootball.com: “The fans there are used to success and I think what happened last season was an ongoing thing. It wasn’t just last season.
"The three years I spent there, there was always that uncertainty. The first season I was there we were lucky to stay in the Championship, we only just survived on the last day. The second season we done a bit better but there was talk of the takeover happening all the time but it never materialized while I was there and obviously last season was a big disappointment because the fans there, the people of Sheffield, deserve better.
"But there’s the takeover now and hopefully they will get the finances and sign top quality players and bounce right back.”
