Bolton Wanderers are taking a close look at USA international Jeff Larentowicz.

The Mirror says Bolton boss Owen Coyle has flown in Larentowicz for a trial - after a tip-off from Jurgen Klinsmann.

The powerful midfielder, nicknamed Big Red and the Ginja Ninja, has arrived at Wanderers after Colorado Rapids finished their MLS season.

Californian Larentowicz will train with Bolton and let Coyle see if he measures up, while also putting himself in the shop window for any other English club.
