Jason Lokilo was delighted to be part of Crystal Palace's Carabao Cup victory over Ipswich Town.

The teenager played the full 90 minutes as Palace beat Ipswich Town 2-1 in the Carabao Cup, coming close to capping off his debut with a goal as he hit the post late on.

"I am disappointed because I missed a couple of chances in the game, I was so upset with the shot that hit the post, but I hope there will be more chances for me to score in other games," he told the Croydon Advertiser.

"But it is good for me to play my first competitive game for Palace. I am happy and I want to get more chances to play at a high level and I will work harder to do so.

"This was my first game and I hope I will get better and better."
