Seattle Sounders FC forward Nate Jaqua was voted Major League Soccer's Player of the Week for Week 15 of the 2009 season.
Jaqua tallied two goals and an assist in Sunday's resounding 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in front of more than 30,000 faithful Sounders FC supporters at Qwest Field on Sunday, June 28.
Picked by Seattle in the 2008 expansion draft, Jaqua has scored six goals and added five assists for the Sounders FC.
The Eugene, Ore., native is second on the Sounders FC in goals and assists, trailing only strike partner Fredy Montero, who has eight goals and six assists.
The Major League Soccer Player of the Week is selected each week of the MLS regular season by a panel of journalists from The North American Soccer Reporters (NASR). The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
