Japan warm-up with demolition job on Finland

Japan have warmed up for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Australia by demolishing Finland 5-1.

In an international friendly or World Cup qualification warm-up game played in Tokyo, the Japanese never gave the Finnish a look-in.

Shinji Okazaki opened the scoring in the 15th minute and the doubled the lead later in the half.

A third was added by Shinji Kagawa prior to half-time giving Takeshi Okada's side an unassailable lead going into the break.

Finland's Roni Porokara pegged one back shortly after half-time but it was to no avail as Yuji Nakazawa and substitute Michihiru Yasuda completed the rout.

Okada was pleased with the result but was not getting ahead of himself.

"We can't get carried away," he said after the game.

"Australia are a completely different proposition. We will need to be at our best to beat them."
