Atsuto Uchida won't be able to tackle new Schalke teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng on Tuesday.
As Japan get set to host Ghana in a friendly in Saitama, Blue Samurai right-back Uchida was looking forward to testing his wares against Black Stars ace Boateng.
"They're strong and fast. Boateng has great technique, and I think they'll have a lot of players like that so I want to play well," Uchida told Goal Asia.
However, former AC Milan midfielder Boateng will miss the encounter after injuring his knee although Schalke expect him to be fit for their Bundesliga clash with Mainz on the weekend.
