Japan will take on Costa Rica in a pre-World Cup friendly according to La Nacion.
Costa Rican Football Federation (Fedefutbol) president Eduardo Li suggests that Los Ticos will meet the Blue Samurai in Florida on June 2.
Both Japan and Costa Rica will compete at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the Asians up against Colombia, Greece and Ivory Coast in Group C while the Central American nation meet Uruguay, England and Italy in Group D.
The last time Japan met Costa Rica was prior to the 2002 World Cup when they played out a 1-1 draw.
