Japan international Tadanari Lee is edging closer to sealing his move to Southampton.
Lee is already training with the Saints and is waiting for the green light from the UK Border Agency for the work permit which will allow him to complete the move.
The 26-year-old forward has played 10 times for his country and became a household name after scoring the winning goal against Australia in the Asia Cup Final last year.
He notched 15 goals in 32 appearances for them last year and would become the first Japanese player to line-up for the South Coast club.
